After a recent long distance race, the second day we were rigging the boat and noticed the rivets had nearly disintegrated in the tack and clew plates on the main sail. We band aid fixed them for the race that day, but I put the fix on the fast track to stay sailing. The plates were actually disintegrating too, so we got this maintenance done before it was too late.
