After putting in hours of online coursework completing the Boaters Safety course, Safe Sport Certification, Teaching and Coaching Fundamentals Online Certification, Small Boat Level 1 Instructor Online Course, and 30 hours of in person training and evaluation, I have earned my Small Boat Level 1 Instructor Certification! It’s good to have learned the more formal approach used by US Sailing for sailing instruction to introduce the sport to new people and grow the community.
